Master's Degrees are becoming smart too, just like the “Smart Solutions – Smart Communities” second-tier university Master's Degree. The purpose of the project is to train twenty talented engineering graduates living in the countries of the European Union, giving them the opportunity to achieve an excellent level of training, particularly in the world of new business technologies, and to improve people's quality of life.
The course provides for an intensive and exciting series of lessons taught in English, alternating with laboratory experiments, company experiences and seminars and, in the final stage, an internship at Telecom Italia to gain direct experience in the fields of business and technology.
The second “Smart Solutions – Smart Cities” Master's Degree programme is about to be launched as part of the established partnership between Telecom Italia and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, which is redefining and transforming relationships between industry and the world of university research and education, encouraging the transfer of "academic" knowledge to be used in industry. The programme is associated with the local development projects, advanced training courses and the “Joint Open Lab” created by Telecom Italia at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, where many of the laboratory lessons planned will again take place this year.
At Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, the “Smart Solutions – Smart Communities” Master's Degree involves its BioRobotics, Management, TeCIP (Communication, Information, Perception Technologies) Institutes and will train young European talents to design, develop and manage the radical and sustainable transformation of processes and services by using innovative technologies, as a lever for the transition to smart services. In particular, the programme allows students to acquire advanced technical skills, the ability to analyse and design "value chains" in order to define and launch new fundamental products and services in areas such as healthcare, energy, on-site and remote monitoring , as well as the skills needed to drive a radical but sustainable transition to "smart services", allowing society to evolve towards Smart Communities.
A further strength is the combination of technical disciplines with economic and managerial ones.
Registrations are open today and will close on 23 May 2014.
