TIM learned with surprise from the media of the request for seizure, presented by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office and granted by the preliminary investigation judge of the Court of Milan, concerning the phenomenon of irregular activations of value-added services (VAS), which occurs after more than five years from the facts for which the proceedings are being conducted.
The Company, since 2019, as soon as it became aware of irregularities proceeded upon its own initiative to report the facts to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome, which, at the outcome of the proceedings, qualified the facts as fraud against TIM.
TIM also promptly took every initiative to protect its customers, providing, between 2019 and 2020, for the refund of all irregular activations of which it became aware, and the blocking of value-added services found to be affected by irregular activations.
The Company therefore trusts that every aspect of this matter will be clarified as soon as possible.
