Cubovision, Telecom Italia's on-demand TV, will broadcast the 2014 Formula 1® World Championship on smartphones and tablets. After the TIM Serie A football championship and the Winter Olympics in Sochi the super-fast TIM (3G and 4G) networks will provide the chance to experience another big sports event.
The initiative is part of the agreement signed last November by Telecom Italia and Sky, and will allow TIM customers, even those that are are not subscribers to the satellite platform, to follow, on mobile devices, all the races of this sporting event: 9 Grand Prix races live and ten time-delayed. To access the dedicated channel, simply download the free Cubovision App and activate “Sky Sport Formula 1® 2014”. The service will be available until 23 November, at a price of 6 euros per month plus an activation fee of 9 euros.
The Cubovision App enables the purchase and use of subscription video content organized by topic into various sections (cinema, TV series, programs for children and teenagers), as well as the viewing of free content.
Thanks to the agreement with Sky, Telecom Italia has already made the Winter Olympics in Sochi available on mobile devices and will continue to give all TIM customers the opportunity to access some exclusive and prestigious sports content provided by Sky, which extends the potential audience of its viewers, conveying major events also through new distribution channels.
Cubovision is Telecom Italia's on demand TV available via ADSL and Fibre through a decoder, on Smart TVs with the dedicated application, on a PC via the www.cubovision.it website and on mobile devices on Android, Apple and Windows Phone 8\RT smartphones and tablets.
Cubovision offers subscribers more than 5,000 titles always available on demand and, on mobile devices for TIM customers only, the possibility to watch, in live streaming, all Juventus, Inter, Milan, Napoli and Roma games, as well as the main Serie A TIM matches.
