TIM also this year supports the Valeria Solesin Award, an initiative now in its eighth edition that recognizes the best master's theses on the topic of female talent as a key driver for the development of the economy, ethics, and meritocracy in our country. The award honors the memory of Valeria Solesin, a researcher and victim of the Bataclan attack, and celebrates her valuable contribution to research on female participation in the workforce.
To build the future, we need talent and passion, like that of Noemi Boldini, the student who won the TIM scholarship for this year’s award. In her thesis "Gender Gaps in Mathematics: An Analysis of the Implementation of an Innovative Teaching Project," Noemi Boldini examined the origins and effects of the gender gap in mathematics education—one of the many factors that still disadvantage girls and limit their growth opportunities, not only for them but for society as a whole.
Gender equality is a central issue for TIM, and through initiatives like this, we contribute to breaking down stereotypes because #GenderEqualityCan’tWait.
