Over 900 TIM technicians took immediate action on the night of 1st May when, after four months of drought, 350 million m3 of water poured down suddenly on an area of 100 municipalities. With more than 500 vehicles, 70 equipped vans and 20 vehicles with radio stations and mobile power stations with emergency power generators, we brought relief to the people and the area by honouring the Romagna motto ‘tin bota’, or ‘hold on, resist’.
This is the theme of the Riconnessioni photography exhibit, which tells a story of solidarity, strength, hope and tireless work through the snapshots of Rosa Mariniello, on display at the 2023 Rimini Festival.
It’s a story of courage and tenacity in the hustle and bustle of vehicles and people soiled with mud from head to toe and armed with buckets and spades to restore internet and telephone connections, even more crucial when it comes to maintaining contact with loved ones in borderline isolation situations.
There are over 100 photos of people and places to remind us and express the utmost solidarity with the citizens who were affected.
