TIM will be the Official Telecommunications Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, and will provide ultra-fast fibre and 5G connections and next-generation digital collaboration services. This major sporting event will be held from 6 to 22 February 2026, and will see more than 3,500 athletes from 93 countries to compete for 195 medals in 16 Olympic and six Paralympic disciplines.
The agreement signed with Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 includes the enhancement of the mobile network during the event, especially at airports and railway stations, and the provision of over 10K mobile devices and routers in 5G and 4G.
All Olympic and Paralympic venues will be wired to provide advanced voice and digital solutions, as well as two telecommunication and data transmission networks to connect all venues in the Milan, Valtellina, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige areas, bringing connectivity to very high performance. Last but not least, TIM will manage network security and operational facilities to meet the high service standards required by an event of this magnitude.
All connections and services will be put in place through TIM Enterprise: TIM's unit for large companies and Public Administration, leading Italy towards the digital transformation, through Cloud, IoT and Cybersecurity solutions.
We will face this new technological challenge with enthusiasm and commitment, because we share the goal of connecting people and expressing the values in which we believe - first and foremost inclusion - with this amazing sporting event.
