TIM provides ultra-fast connections and ensures cybersecurity for the G7 Summit, the flagship event of Italy's presidency year; it is held from 13 to 15 June at Borgo Egnazia in Puglia.
Thanks to the expansion of TIM mobile indoor and outdoor coverage in the locations involved by the Summit, the international delegations attending can count on a high-performance connectivity and reliability. Furthermore, to ensure the highest level of cybersecurity to the particularly confidential data and information that are exchanged in that context, TIM provides the encryption solution Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) developed by Telsy, the brand company of the TIM Enterprise perimeter - specialising in cybersecurity - and its subsidiary QTI. Delegations can also make use of the ultrasound audio devices TelsyATMO to prevent sensitive or confidential in-person conversations from being overheard through malicious applications on mobile phones. TelsyATMO devices are entirely designed and developed by Telsy: they offer a sonic shield for any incoming acoustic signals received from mobile devices housed inside them, while still allowing the reception and retrieval of call and message notifications.
The technological enhancement of the entire summit area has a particularly low environmental impact, since the solutions provided are built on existing fibre-optic connections and do not require the addition of further network components.
