On the occasion of World AIDS Day, we have created a new training course called "Prevention Info Clips on HIV, AIDS and STDs" aimed at all TIM people.
The three videos, made by experts in collaboration with ANLAIDS Lazio and the Tor Vergata Polyclinic of Rome, provide extensive information on all sexually transmitted diseases, and how important it is to prevent and eliminate stigma - i.e. the set of discriminatory attitudes that those living with HIV suffer because of their status.
This topic is particularly poignant and urgent, now more than ever, because, according to data from the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, perception of the risk of sexually transmitted infections is declining, especially among young people. While from 2012 to 2020, a decrease in new HIV diagnoses was observed, there has been a gradual increase between 2021 and 2023, and the number of people diagnosed with HIV infection at a later stage increased over the last decade.
This initiative is part TIM's Wellbeing plan, focused on prevention and health, which includes training and awareness-raising activities such as this one, psychological counselling, and tools to encourage physical activity and exercise.
