It is possible to make internet a safer place for everyone, especially youngsters, and we must all do our part. That is the message launched by Safer Internet Day, the global day with which the European Union has been promoting safer, more responsible use of the web and new technologies since 2004, this year on February 9.
In TIM we undertake to make sure everyone can live the infinite possibilities offered by what’s digital, to communicate, feel closer, study, work and enjoy themselves; we are certain that doing so with awareness is a must. We work to build a sustainable digital future, the engine for the development of society and economy. We do this by offering our customers safe and quality solutions and services, and we collaborate with frontline institutions, such as the Postal Police, and with innovation leaders. It is in this context that Operazione Risorgimento Digitale fits, the project we created and launched in November 2019 together with over 40 partners from the world of institutions, companies and civil society, which aims to accelerate the spread of digital skills among Italians. We also collaborate with Telefono Azzurro, one of the organisations that spearheads the Safer Internet Center-Generazioni Connesse, the project, led by the Ministry for Education, in which we have been involved for several years now.
