On Friday, May 9, 2008, at 3:00 PM CET (2:00 PM UK Time), a conference call took place to review the Telecom Italia Group's financial results for the first three months of 2008, as approved by the Board of Directors.
- Revenues: 7,298 million euro (-2.4% compared with the first quarter 2007); down 4.0% on an organic basis, net of the effect of regulatory discontinuities (260 million euro) the decline would narrow to 0.5%
- Ebitda: 2,966 million euro (-6.7% compared with the first quarter 2007); down 6.7% on an organic basis, net of the effect of regulatory discontinuities (219 million euro) it would have been +0.1% organic ebitda margin: 40.8% (42.0% in the first quarter 2007)
- Consolidated net income: 501 million euro; down 35.4% compared with the first quarter 2007
- Net financial debt at 31 March 2008: 35,436 million euro, down 265 million euro compared with year-end 2007. From 31 March 2007, net financial debt (37,182 million euro) down by 1,746 million euro.
