TIM’s Academies are born in partnership with the main Italian Universities and other strategic partners, including Google, Nokia, Cisco, Randstad, Umana, and are dedicated to both young graduates and professionals who already are in the world of work. With this project we offer a training certified by the University, we offer internships to facilitate the entry into the world of work for the best talents, we started use case for a practical application of training with project works and laboratories in collaboration with the Innovation Lab of TIM.
In fact, two new courses are about to start: "The IoT ecosystem: from device and network to applications and services" by the IoT Academy, the result of TIM's collaboration with the National Wireless Communications Laboratory (WiLab) of CNIT - Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni and Olivetti, and “Quantum Communications and Computing” by the Quantum Academy, the result of TIM's collaboration with Politecnico di Torino.
Training offer: IoT Academy
Last year, IoT applications in Italy generated €8 billion (study of Green Vulcano Technologies about data from Osservatorio IoT School of Management Politecnico di Milano), with a forecast of exponential growth over the next 10 years, especially with regard to industrial automation and Smart Cities.
The advanced IoT Academy course, organised in three modules, is aimed at studying this area and will cover topics such as the IoT ecosystem, Industrial IoT, Smart Manufacturing and Smart Cities, including theoretical content and exercises and experiments in test environments. The course will take place at WiLab in Bologna and will involve Italian university lecturers from WiLab and managers from TIM and Olivetti.
Enrolment is open until 20 March 2022 on the Iot Academy website. For more information, you can download the brochure or write to: iotacademy@wilab.org, indicating that it is coming from a TIM channel.
Training offer: Quantum Academy
Quantum computing is the computing of the future, and quantum communications is one of the technologies with the greatest political and social impact for the coming years. Quantum Communications also applies quantum technologies to telecommunications, allowing cryptographic keys to be exchanged with absolute security.
The advanced course at the Quantum Academy explores the main aspects of quantum technologies (computing and communication), after a brief introduction to quantum mechanics, which enables them to function. The lessons, which will take place online, are enriched with practical examples in simulated and real environments and include the use of an actual quantum computer in the cloud. The lecturers will be professors from Politecnico di Torino, Italy’s National Metrology Institute (INRIM) and managers from TIM.
Enrolment is open until 15 April 2022 on the university's Quantum Communications and Computing website. For more information and to request the brochure, you can write to: formazione.permanente@polito.it indicating that it is coming from a TIM channel.
