For many years now, TIM has been aware that people's well-being and engagement are central to the development of its corporate strategy, and together with the Family Audit team — created by the Autonomous Province of Trento – we have put together a plan with initiatives to help people work and live better in the company, a commitment also known as the Family Audit Executive certificate.
Family Audit is a management tool that aims to activate a change in company culture through innovative Work-Life Balance measures, triggering a virtuous cycle of continuous improvement with the possibility of joining a network of companies useful for comparison and mutual encouragement.
Our plan, which is divided into three main streams (Inclusion, Family Care and Well-being), is centred on the concept that being an inclusive company, able to take care of its people, to create solutions that enable everyone to give their best, is the foundation of economic and social sustainability and the organisational well-being of people and therefore of performance.
There are many initiatives, and we try to anticipate the needs of our people, when possible, always taking into account our social fabric and the historical moments of the country.
Just to mention a few pillars of the plan, this year, in a situation that is still uncertain due to the pandemic, more than 2,400 of our colleagues' children are attending the TIM Estate summer camps in total safety, from Friuli to Sicily, a help for working parents during the period when school is out but they can’t yet take their holidays. In October, we will reopen our childcare facilities: kindergartens and nursery schools, and long before the health emergency, we adopted Smart Working, saving people time and money and making an important contribution to reducing CO2 emissions and, therefore, to environmental sustainability. A decidedly new field concerns Elder Care services, which has become just as important as parenting, in a dynamic where care and professional skills are linked and benefit from each other.
