UniversiTIM, PhDs in new technologies
Today, Chairman Salvatore Rossi and CEO Luigi Gubitosi, together with some of the Group’s top managers, met with the first 18 PhD students to be awarded research grants under the UniversiTIM project – an initiative launched last year together with major Italian universities to promote technological research and scout new talent in the field of innovation. The PhD Grants for key digital innovation topics such as 5G, IoT, Big data, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, funded by TIM, will enable young talents to carry out research and experience corporate life.
UniversiTIM will continue to offer new PhDs, again with a view to strengthening the relationship with universities, and create an ecosystem where training, research and talent are the keys to Italy’s digital transformation.
TIM’s Academies, Artificial Intelligence, 5G, IoT, Quantum computing and much more
It is against this backdrop that TIM’s Academies were created – a project in partnership with leading Italian universities and other strategic partners such as Google, CapGemini, Nokia, Cisco, Consorzio Clara and Randstad, dedicated to new graduates and young professionals.
Under this project, together with our partners, we offer university-certified training, internships to help the best talents enter the world of work, and use-cases for the practical application of training through project work and workshops in collaboration with TIM WCAP.
The first course of the AI Academy – in partnership with Sapienza University of Rome and Google – is now getting underway with three different courses: AI Business & Strategic Applications, Artificial Intelligence & Health Sciences and Ethics, Rights and Policies of Artificial Intelligence.
The 5G Academy in partnership with the Federico II University of Naples, CapGemini & Nokia, offers two different courses aimed at: post-graduates starting on 17 March 2021; and professionals starting on 10 June 2021.
And in the coming months, we will launch the Academies for Digital HR, CyBORG Security, Management, Quantum Computing, Digital HR Transformation & Empowerment, Health, Data, IoT.
On 29 April 2021, TIM Academies will also be starting the advanced course on “Growing up and living with robots: psychology, education and care at the time of social robots” in partnership with Università Cattolica of Milan and Weschool.
