Telecom Italia today announced that the highly anticipated iPhone 3G will be available at TIM retail stores on July 11.
As of today, iPhone 3G has been successfully certified to operate on Telecom Italia’s network.
iPhone 3G combines all the revolutionary features of iPhone with 3G networking that is twice as fast* as the first generation iPhone and built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services.
From July 11, iPhone 3G will be available in over 2,600 TIM retails outlets. For pre-paid customers, the 8GB iPhone 3G model will be available for 499 euros and the 16GB iPhone 3G model for 569 euros.
For contract customers, the 8GB iPhone 3G will be offered in subscription packages with an initial cost ranging from zero euros to 199 euros, depending on the tariff plan chosen, and all offers include at least 1GB of Internet traffic per month. With such a broad range of contracts, TIM has a plan to fit all customers and customers can pre-order iPhone 3G from the www.tim.it or TIM stores.
