For over a year, the company has been cooperating with the investigating authorities
With reference to the investigation carried out by the Guardia di Finanza (Italy's financial police) at Telecom Italia's regional headquarters in Naples, Telecom Italia states that, ever since the antimafia authorities for the Naples district began their investigation a little more than a year ago, the company has provided its full cooperation in order to identify the individuals responsible of criminal acts.
In agreement with the office of the Naples Prosecutor, Telecom Italia will close down, effective immediately, the Neapolitan office of its department of Services to Judicial Authorities (Servizi per l'Autorità Giudiziaria). All responsibilities previously assigned to the Naples office will henceforth be carried out by that department's Rome office.
Telecom Italia also informs that the company that employed the security guard who has been arrested is no longer one of Telecom Italia's service providers.
Telecom Italia strongly reaffirms its primary objective of preventing and halting every internal illicit action.
