With reference to the article published today by a major Italian newspaper, Telecom Italia firmly denies the possibility of setting up a “plant engineering pole” to attend to Telecom Italia’s network operations maintenance, as well as the interest of the management on a project that has never been evaluated even at an informal level.
As for the comments regarding SSC, which is fully-owned by Telecom Italia, the company has already confirmed in a press release dated 19 April 2010 - issued after a meeting with the Unions - its “direct interest in maintaining SSC’s activities within the Group’s perimeter”.
