Telecom Italia announces the launch of its Global Partnerships Program, a venture that enables emerging market telecommunications carriers to leverage the Group’s know-how, international experience and technologies in order to enhance efficiency, become more competitive and develop their own business. The venture is being presented at Telecoms World Middle East, an event that attracts the largest telecommunications carriers in the Middle East, and runs from 3 to 6 October in Dubai.
The Global Partnerships Program is specially designed for foreign fixed-line and mobile telephone companies and MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) operating in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, in addition to South America, where the Telecom Italia Group has a consolidated presence.
The new Global Partnerships Program sees Telecom Italia joining the worldwide consulting market for telecommunications companies, in which it is deploying a groundbreaking approach based on direct relations between partner operators and the company’s own operational structures.
With its ability to manage technologies and the Group’s extensive experience on mature and emerging markets, not to mention its infrastructure assets, Telecom Italia is perfectly placed to offer a portfolio of services that cater to operators’ varying needs.
The venture covers the following specific areas:
- fixed-line and mobile network assistance for defining technology plans and designing, implementing and managing latest-generation networks (including but not limited to LTE and XG-PON1), along with enhancing existing network efficiency and quality
- information technology for optimizing IT system performance by offering planning and outsourcing management support; innovation and experimentation, offering operators who sign up to the program the chance to access Telecom Italia’s labs and develop their own innovation plans, as well as test equipment, devices and services
- Joint Operations and Projects, enabling partner carriers to leverage Telecom Italia’s economies of scale and reduce both costs and time-to-market.
