Following the annual review for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, Telecom Italia has been confirmed for the tenth consecutive year in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Indexes (DJSI World) and Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Indexes (DJSI Europe).
The inclusion is a result of a rigorous assessment process of the company by specialized rating agencies that analyse its financial and non-financial performance on the basis of a general and industry criteria, including customer relations, innovation and research, risk management, strategies related to climate change, the supply chain and analysis of the socio-environmental impacts of the business.
The presence of a company in the sustainability indexes is an element of growing interest in the assessment of investors that more and more frequently also take into account non-financial parameters in their portfolio choices, considering sustainable companies less risky in the medium-long term compared to companies that do not meet environmental, social and governance requirements.
Telecom Italia has achieved a score of 93/100, improved compared to last year, just one point away from the category “best in class”, Korean Telecom.
The inclusion in the DJSI is an important recognition of the Group's commitment to environmental and social issues, research and growth of the countries in which it operates and its transparency to stakeholders.
