The Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Italia, Marco Patuano, met the trade union representatives of Slc-Cgil, Fistel- Cisl and Uilcom this afternoon.
It was a first fruitful exchange of opinions in light of the recent events involving the Telecom Italia Group.
The CEO assured the union representatives of the company's wish to fully respect the agreements signed with the workers' organizations on 27 March 2013, which he deems “valid and functional to achieve the objectives defined in terms of increasing productivity, recovery of efficiency and the internalisation of activities, as demonstrated by these months of application. These agreements, moreover, do not suggest any disengagement on the part of Telecom Italia.”
Patuano also reiterated to the trade union representatives “Telecom Italia's wish to continue down the investment road, focusing on the most innovative ones to ensure the company keeps pace with technological developments and to meet market demands.”
The CEO reaffirmed the company's willingness to maintain constantly open information channels with Telecom Italia workers' organizations, starting with the decisions taken by the Board of Directors meeting scheduled on 7 November.
