With regard to the contacts made with the shareholder Findim SA during the process of placement of the mandatory convertible bond on Thursday 7 November 2013, Telecom Italia specifies that the Joint Bookrunners - also upon the instructions of the Company - tried to contact the shareholder by telephone, receiving no response.
Subsequently, and while the placement process was still open, contacts were made with the same shareholder and a representative of the Joint Bookrunners, from which it emerged the shareholder had no interest in taking part in the placement. Interest was shown, on the other hand, in a telephone conversation that occurred late morning on Friday 8 November 2013, when the placement had been closed for some hours as announced by the Company in a press release at 7.40 am, and thus it was impossible to fulfil the request.
