The Board of Directors of Infrastrutture Wireless Italiane S.p.A. (INWIT) met today, chaired by Francesco Profumo, and appointed Giuseppe Gentili as Company Director, on the proposal of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, in lieu of Francesca Petralia, who had resigned last 3 May.
The CV of the Director Giuseppe Gentili, whose independence has been ascertained pursuant to the Consolidated Law on Finance and the Corporate Governance Code, is available on the Company’s website at http://www.inwit.it .
The Director Giuseppe Gentili does not have any holdings in shares issued by the Company.
The Board of Directors has also unanimously decided not to opt for the enfranchisement of goodwill, booked and not recognised for tax purposes.
The Board has considered it more appropriate to maintain the Company’s financial flexibility to seize all the value creation opportunities related to the organic growth as well as the potential extraordinary transactions as may be envisaged as part of the market consolidation process.
