"INWIT closed FY 2019 in line with the objectives set - the Chief Executive Director, Giovanni Ferigo, stressed -. We are now looking to 2020, which will be a year of change, linked to the merger with Vodafone Towers, but also to the adjustments made to cope with the emergency faced by the country and the whole world in recent weeks: the COVID19. Our first aim in this respect was to protect the company's workers. We immediately introduced a smart working system, suspended transfers and events, sanitised the workplace and asked suppliers present in the corporate offices to also comply with the precautions envisaged by all Government issued regulations. We then also activated medical insurance cover, paid for by the company, for all employees, should they catch the coronavirus. To cope with the health crisis ofthe pandemic, we offered operators free activation of indoor mobile cover in 18 hospitals, many ofwhich located in the worst-struck zones, thanks to our DAS infrastructures. We are ready to help ensure the re-launch and development of the Italian economy".
