Telecom Italia is again the A Series’ Italian Basketball League technological partner for the 2010 – 2011 season. The company, in fact, will provide the technical support for the “Highlights” project, which will allow the Italian Basketball League to manage live TV broadcasting ftrom all Sports grounds.
Sixteen Sports Halls will be simultaniously connected by means of high broadcasting capacity links (HDSL and optical fibre) to ensure TV transmission of all Serie A Championship, Super coppa and Coppa Italia competition matches to the Lega Basket production center.
A digital system, also provided by Telecom Italia, will further enable Lega Basket to send the highlight moments of the matches to the major TV channels.
Telecom Italia nowadays offers technological infrastructure and supports from which voice and data are transformed into advanced telecommunication services and leading edge solutions for ICT or the Press. The company has been close to basketball and other team sports for many years, and it has given ample support to sport events gathering large crowds, ensuring both technological contribution and commitment to the world of sports.
This season, Telecom Italia will once again be present on the basketball courts with its own brand: Impresa Semplice, the integral offer satisfying all communication requirements of the small and medium size business companies.
