Telecom Italia to participate in SMAU 2011 with IT IS, the first sale channel specialized in Information Technology able to offer SMEs a dedicated portfolio of advanced computer solutions also for Cloud Computing, and to present a preview of the new web service IL MIO SITO.
IT IS (acronym of Information Technology Impresa Semplice) program provides the aggregation of a network of commercial agencies, companies and IT consultants that will benefit from competence and technology infrastructures availed by Telecom Italia to support and facilitate the adoption of innovative IT solutions by SMEs, thus favoring their growth and development. This initiative points to the involvement of the field of IT “trustees” including software houses, computer societies, web agencies, IT consultants and specialists already working closely with SMEs (i.e. local professionals and traders) often as consultants and providers of their own computer solutions.
IT IS is an open-source program with the objective of making available Impresa Semplice IT solutions and web services. Use of IT IS brand of Telecom Italia together with specialized training services and dedicated assistance allow adherents to improve and consolidate their relationship with end customers.
The new commercial channel will have access to the large portfolio of IT solution offerings dedicated to SMEs including Cloud Computing, Messaging and Collaboration, Storage and Security, Applicatives and Vertical Solutions, PCs with software and assistance, and hosting/housing services on Telecom Italia Data Centers.
Particularly, a preview of Il MIO SITO will be presented, a new service for SMEs to realize a company web site in order to give Internet visibility and prominence to their own business and activity and to interact with customers online. SMEs will be able to realize their web site independently or decide to avail themselves of the support of a trusted specialized web agency or one among IT IS partners. Among other functions, the service includes domain registration, web hosting, web site editing tools, mail, virtual fax and intranet services. It is characterized by simple use and rich endowment of tools and contents and will be offered to end customers for a free trial period of one year, with no purchase obligation. Web agencies that will adopt IL MIO SITO will have free use of CMS (Content Management System) development platform for website building, which will make possible at any time to perform professional services and add further software developments to enrich, promote and give visibility to the end customer’s web site on search engines.
Impresa Semplice IT solution offerings dedicated to SMEs also include Suite Ospit@ service of Cloud Computing, which provides infrastructural solutions (IaaS), IT platforms (PaaS) and complete applicative solutions (SaaS), which the end customer himself or his trusted IT provider can manage directly through a specific Web Console. Moreover, Suite Ospit@ allows to “host” computer applications and platform software of Impresa Semplice IT IS partners, allowing its enrichment with a range of state of the art and “tailored” computer solutions for SMEs market specific needs.
Collabor@ is also part of the offering portfolio, a Web Collaboration service to organize meetings and share documents in real time from PCs and smartphone, through the Internet, and to work from landline and mobile videoconferencing involving up to 25 participants simultaneously. The service allows companies to reduce the number of transfers and related travel and accommodation costs, with relevant benefits not only in terms of efficiency but also for working life quality and environmental sustainability.
By participating SMAU, Telecom Italia confirms its commitment in favour of development and informatization of an important portion of the National economic tissue represented by SMEs, professionals and traders.
