Telecom Italia, MIT’s - Meet in Town, new sounds festival - main partner, is bringing electronic music to Internet users, giving them the possibility to follow the concerts that will take place in the dedicated areas of the “Auditorium Parco della Musica” in Rome on 9th June.
The event - presented by Telecom Italia together with “Fondazione Musica per Roma” (Music for Rome association) and with the collaboration of Snob Production and the Province of Rome - is an occasion to discover new musical experimentation through international artists who search for the most innovative digital sounds.
The performances will be exclusively available until late at night at www.mit.telecomitalia.com, thanks to the technologies made available by Telecom Italia. Internet users will be able to follow the evening’s concerts - free of charge and streaming live - and share their thoughts and feelings through a live chat and by twitting with all the other enthusiasts connected, choosing their own favourite artist from an interactive digital mosaic.
The live streaming event will begin with Squarepusher, James Blake and Afrika Bambaataa, who will be performing from the Auditorium’s “Cavea” . Many other artists will follow such as: Atlas Sound, Sébastien Tellier, Theo Parrish b2b Marcellus Pittman, Mouse On Mars, Lindstrøm, Dâm Funk, Thundercat, Ghostpoet, Machinedrum, Brandt Brauer Frick, Com Truise, Breton, RocketNumberNine and Frank Sent Us.
Before the Meet In Town event, there will be an exclusive appointment for internet users on the night of 26th May with a live streaming on www.mit.telecomitalia.com of djsets: Pariah and Xxxy/The Electricalz, who will perform live from the Tunnel Channel in Milan at 11:30pm.
In the “Risonanze” area of the Auditorium, a dj-set and a lounge area will be set up where it will be possible to listen to playlists dedicated to the festival. This is thanks to Cubomusica (www.cubomusica.it) - Telecom Italia’s platform dedicated to digital music, with a library of over 4.000.000 tracks, constantly being updated and available to listen to in streaming or on demand.
Telecom Italia is therefore opening a dedicated meeting area for those Internet users who are curious and interested in the latest music events and novelties. In this area they will be able to actively take part to the event, even to those that may occur simultaneously, thanks to the “Digital Mosaic” available at www.mit.telecomitalia.com.
All the festival’s updates and exclusive contents will be available on the company’s Facebook and Twitter profiles: www.facebook.com/TelecomItalia - www.twitter.com/telecomitaliaTw.
It will be possible to continue experiencing the emotions connected to the festival’s music at www.mit.telecomitalia.com which will be streamed on demand until the 31st December 2012.
