08/29/2012 - 02:45 PM

Telecom Italia, partner of Cinecittà Luce to support and  leverage Italy's film heritage, is present at the 69th Venice International Film Festival, that opened today in Venice, with  Cubovision®, the personal interactive television service with 27 themed channels, an extensive on-demand video library, and the best of the internet.

During the Festival, the free section of Cubovision’s Cine Extra channel will host interviews and special features on the event which will enrich the schedules of the TV platform. This initiative confirms Telecom Italia’s commitment, through Cubovision, to promote the world of cinema, with the production and acquisition of exclusive content, and its presence at the main film festivals that take place in Italy, creating important opportunities to meet and compare with industry professionals and aficionados.

A year after the agreement signed in Venice with Cinecittà Luce, the content of the historical archive of the Istituto Luce are among the most frequently requested items in the free section of Cubovision, as are the films in the subscription section. In addition, from October Cubovision will start to distribute, on demand, films never shown on TV pay per view and free of charge. The first title proposed will be Albert Nobbs, directed by Rodrigo García.

The Cubovision service is available to customers with Telecom Italia’s ADSL Flat on many platforms:  through the Cubovision decoder, on Smart TVs with the Cubovision application, through a PC, on the   website www.cubovision.it and on mobile devices that use the Android or Apple systems. Telecom Italia is present at the festival with a Cubovision stand, inside the Cinecittà Luce space, where people can test the product on the different fixed and mobile devices on which the service is available.
