Telecom Italy is web partner of the National Academy of St. Cecilia for the concert celebrating the 60-year career of Maestro Daniel Barenboim, Music Conductor of the Berlin State Opera and the Scala Theatre in Milan. The event will be held on Thursday 13 December in the Sala Santa Cecilia (8.30pm) Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.
After 60 years from his piano début in Rome, Maestro Barenboim will celebrate his anniversary playing the piano accompanied by the Orchestra of the National Academy of St. Cecilia, conducted by Maestro Antonio Pappano. The initiative is part of the series Pappanoinweb, presented by the National Academy of St. Cecilia and Telecom Italia, of which it is the continuation with an event where seeing together these two great performers will make an extraordinary and unique evening.
The event will follow the format which was already experienced and consolidated in previous events: the concert will be broadcast in live streaming on the website pappanoinweb.telecomitalia.com and will be available on demand for 6 months. During the concert, the web audience can also interact with an expert musicologist who will satisfy the curiosity of fans in real time through a live chat on the website and discussions on the social networks. The website pappanoinweb.telecomitalia.com will also be enriched with exclusive content such as the introductory guide to listening by the musicologist Giovanni Bietti, interviews with the performers and from the backstage of the concert. The entire webcast will be presented and followed by the musicologist Umberto Nicoletti Altimari who will interact with guests and professors of the Orchestra before the concert and during the interval.
