A team from Emilia Romagna is included among the protagonists of Changemakers, the enterprise acceleration programme promoted by Telecom Italia and Expo Milano 2015 with the ambitious aim of changing the life of 10 million people. The innovative Trail Me Up project, developed by four young people from Cesena and Cervia (in the province of Ravenna), is in fact one of the 10 best ideas selected at national level to be developed and transformed into sustainable and innovative potential startups.
Trail Me Up is a web service that uses augmented virtual reality technology that can provide guided tours in places that are only accessible on foot. The trip along the virtual path is made possible using a special 360° photographic acquisition system fitted to a backpack, that allows the user to see the landscape from the same perspective as the real traveller. The Trail Me Up team is composed of: Fabio Zaffagnini, 36 , geologist; Gabriele Garavini, 28, IT specialist; Erida Rembeci, 29 psychology graduate; and Francesca Sirri, 25, final year undergraduate student of entrepreneurship and innovation.
With the other 9 teams selected, the team has started the process to develop their project in the last few days, in a technology campus in Milan where the young talents will live and work together, in close contact, for the two months, with advice from an experienced and select group of experts, professionals, managers and creative people of proven competence as teachers and mentors.
At the end of the acceleration period, the projects will be presented to a panel of potential investors and business partners who can guarantee their realisation.
