Telecom Italia wins first place in the Italian CSR Online Awards 2014 survey.
Conducted by Lundquist, a strategic consulting firm specialising in online corporate communication, the ranking analyses and rewards the best companies for online sustainability information based on seven pillars: concreteness, comprehensiveness, overall integration, distinctiveness, promptness, user-friendly presentation of the information and use of social media.
Scoring a total of 65.5 points, Telecom Italia recaptured the top position, previously achieved in 2011, ahead of Hera Group and Snam.
This victory was helped by the Group website telecomitalia.com and the various online initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and actively involving the public in social responsibility issues, such as the avoicomunicare blog, projects including Social Writing and the Respect App, aimed at encouraging people to adopt virtuous behaviour to respect the environment.
Telecom Italia's ranking confirms the Group's role as an enabler of sustainable actions and its commitment to communicating value and establishing an ongoing and interactive dialogue with its stakeholders.
One of the distinctive aspects of this is its holistic approach. In the words of Marcella Logli, Telecom Italia's Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Secretary General of the Telecom Italia Foundation, "the great synergy between the Group's technological expertise and the social value of the Foundation is the winning key to ensuring that innovation becomes the enabler of new opportunities, a tool serving the economic development, ideas and culture of the country."
Now in its sixth year, the survey is based on an assessment protocol involving 350 CSR experts in 44 countries. In addition to the Italian ranking there are other national surveys (including Germany, Nordic countries and Switzerland) and a European ranking.
