TIM is the Gold sponsor of the Lega Volley Summer Tour 2015, the official tournament of Sand Volley (four-a-side) of the Series A Ladies Volleyball League which the athletes from the Italian Volleyball championship series A1 and A2 will be participating in. The first date will be Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June on the Trieste strand at Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD); the 4 and 5 July at the Beach Arena of San Benedetto del Tronto (AP); the 11 and 12 July in Piazza Primo Maggio in Pescara and the 18 and 19 July with the last stop in Riccione.
During the Lega Volley Summer Tour 2015 #LVST15, TIM will be organising the four dates of the Volley TIM Cup Summer Tour on the beach, where the young volleyball players from local parish youth centres will compete on the Sunday of each event, in a Sand Volley tournament (4-a-side), on the same courts which the stars of series A1 and A2 will be playing on.
In the first stop in Lignano Sabbiadoro, the parish youth centres involved will be those of Monastier (TV), Trevignano (TV), Campocroce (TV), Maserada (TV) and San Zeno (VR).
This is a continuation of the Volley TIM Cup project, sponsored by TIM, Series A Ladies Volleyball League and Centro Sportivo Italiano which last winter saw the teams of the diocesan parish youth centres from the cities of the Series A1 teams playing; involving 144 teams of the CSI Under-16 championship and a total of over 2,300 girls. The initiative sets out to bridge the gap between professional athletes and young players, promoting the healthy principles of one of the team sports par excellence.
The Volley TIM Cup Summer Tour will also be supported on the social media using the hashtag #VolleyTIMCUP and the website www.volleytimcup.it you can see the results of the tournament in real time and all the photos and video clips of the day's play.
