TIM has finalised a two-year agreement signed last June with Twentieth Century Fox bringing films that have never been broadcast on free television to TIMvision.
In the next few months TIMvision will have, exclusively, some of the most famous titles distributed by the major film studio in Italy between 2012 and 2013, which will enrich the library of over 6,000 titles reserved for TIMvision subscribers.
“Life of Pi” by Ang Lee, “Lincoln” by Steven Spielberg starring Daniel Day-Lewis, and “The Secret life of Walter Mitty” by and starring Ben Stiller, are just some of the films that, in Italy, only TIMvision and no other pay service or free channel will be able to offer its audience. Stars such as Nicole Kidman (in the thriller ‘Stoker’), Sandra Bullock (in ‘The Heat’), Natalie Portman (‘Black Swan’), Matt Damon (‘We bought a zoo’), and Judy Dench (‘Marigold Hotel’) will be part of the cinema offer reserved for TIMvision subscribers. The titles also include the complete trilogy of films adapted from the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ books, one of the bestsellers of young-adult fiction of recent years.
"Digital entertainment is going through a period of great excitement and growing market competition makes us want to offer our subscribers SVOD services not only with the best of catalogue cinema but also the most recent films," stated Daniela Biscarini, Head of Multimedia Entertainment at Telecom Italia. "Thanks to the agreement with Twentieth Century Fox, one of the leading companies in the film sector, we have the opportunity to enrich TIMvision with exclusive titles not yet seen on free TV."
Thanks to its decoder, TIMvision provides access to a huge amount of always available content with an extensive offer of films never broadcast on free TV including great classics and action films, starting at 5 euros/month for subscribers.
