In Verona, TIM has launched the evolution of 4G Plus through “Three Carrier Aggregation”, the new technology that brings the maximum mobile connectivity speed up to 300 Mbps.
By combining the three frequency bands used for LTE technology - 800, 1800 and 2600 MHz - TIM's 4G Plus network offers a maximum data transmission download speed of up to 300 Mbps, exceeding the 225 Mbps obtainable with “Dual Carrier Aggregation” and offering even more fluid and stable Internet browsing. This way, TIM's customers can download data from the Internet with ever faster speeds and high quality, using mobile multimedia content in both Full HD and 4K format.
The service, which uses the devices and components of Nokia's mobile network, is currently available with the Samsung S6 edge + smartphone, the first one to be compatible in Italy. In upcoming weeks, TIM's portfolio will be enriched with other devices capable of supporting 4G Plus up to 300 Mbps.
From today, TIM's consumer and business customers in Verona with 4G offers who already have Samsung S6 edge +, or who come to have compatible devices later, can freely and automatically access the 4G Plus performance until December 2016.
With this initiative TIM reaches another milestone thereby confirming its commitment in the research and development of ultrabroadband networks, to offer its customers an ever faster and reliable infrastructure capable of meeting the growing demand for mobile broadband linked to the use of innovative services and applications.
