TIM, the first telco in Europe to integrate its outgoing mobile voice service with the intelligence of Google Nest devices, is extending its ‘TIM Voice Smart with Google’ service with a new function that allows users to receive and make calls from their home landline. In addition, TIMMUSIC, the music streaming platform, will be available on Google's smart devices.
These important solutions are part of a broader collaboration with Google, which will expand the portfolio with innovative products and services, above all for the smart home.
The free ‘TIM Voice Smart with Google’ service, exclusively for customers with a fibre connection, will allow users to make and receive calls through Google's smart speaker and display, using their TIM landline number, as of today. Just connect the landline to the Google Nest Mini or Nest Hub and with a simple voice command make and receive calls from or to any landline or mobile number.
To start the call just say ‘Hey Google, call mum’ or ‘Hey Google, answer the call’.
With the Google assistant you can call specific numbers, your Gmail contacts, and businesses using Google search.
‘TIM Voice Smart with Google’ represents the evolution of the traditional landline call service with smart Google Nest devices without the need for a cordless.
In fact, TIM consumer customers with fibre landlines can use the service free of charge once they have configured it on the Google Home app and associated it with their number.
Another novelty is the arrival of TIMMUSIC, TIM’s music streaming platform.
With Google’s smart speakers and display you can listen to your favourite songs with a simple voice command. The well-stocked TIMMUSIC catalogue, with over 40 million songs and all the latest Italian and international releases always updated with tracks, albums, complete discographies and playlists, will now be a mere voice command away, just say the song title or artist’s name. To start listening just say ‘Hey Google, play…’ and the name of the artist or album to create the right atmosphere or desired musical style.
With TIMMUSIC you can listen to your favourite music throughout the day without any advertising breaks. All TIM customers with a Google device will have access to TIMMUSIC streaming services for three months with automatic expiry at no additional cost. Just create an account on the Google Home app to listen to your favourite music on the devices.
