TIM is moving forward with the deployment of new generation networks and services and, the first operator in Italy to do so and amongst the first in Europe, it is taking high-performance FTTH fibre connections of up to 10 gigabits per second to homes thanks to XGS-PON technology (10 Gigabit capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network).
TIM is already bringing this technology to 4.2 million homes in over 30 cities with a deployment plan that will allow an increasing number of Italian households to access the best navigation performances.
As of today, customers can subscribe to the new ‘All Inclusive’ fibre offer from the TIM WiFi Power range with speeds of up to 10 Gigabit per second in download and 2 Gigabit in upload and gain access to the best connection technology, power and security, in addition to dedicated assistance for an extremely high-level navigation experience.
Moreover, thanks to the new TIM 10Gb modem with an integrated 10 Gb optical connector, standard WiFi 6 4x4 (at 2.4 GHz and at 5 GHz), 1 10 Gb port, 4 Gb-Eth ports, 2 USB 3.1 ports and the most advanced market standards, customers can simultaneously connect over 100 devices, fully exploiting the new technology's potential.
TIM has renewed its commitment to also offering customers the best assistance and included in the new offer a dedicated service with priority access to 187 and TIM stores, guaranteeing support from the activation phase onwards. The company will provide the professionalism of TIM's technicians who, in addition to installing fibre, will configure the modem and all devices in the home with any repeaters if necessary, checking that the WiFi works in each room and also ensuring free post-sales assistance.
