From today on TimVision, exclusive preview of 'Il mio amico Massimo' [My friend Massimo], directed by Alessandro Bencivenga on the life and artistic career of Massimo Troisi 70 years after his birth in San Giorgio a Cremano (Naples) on 19 February 1953.
With the narrating voices of Lello Arena and Cloris Bosca, the docufilm is an unusual, light-hearted and at times ironic tribute to the artist, but above all a tale that starts from a childhood full of dreams and hopes, brightened by friends.
The docufilm ties together his cabaret, theatre and television performances, backstage, period photos and interviews with friends and figures from the world of entertainment, among whom Carlo Verdone, Nino Frassica, Clarissa Burt, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Ficarra and Picone, and moments from the archives with Pippo Baudo and Renzo Arbore. Lastly, the special participation of Gerardo Ferrara, Troisi's double in the famous film 'Il Postino: The postman'.
