To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November, a special 3D presentation based on the commercial ‘Il Labirinto’ [The Maze] by Oscar winner Giuseppe Tornatore for TIM will be shown on the Urban Vision system in Piazza del Duomo in Milan. At the heart of the story are the prejudices, stereotypes and gender differences that women have to face every day: a maze of difficulties from which there seems to be no escape.
Until the 8th of December, on the side façade of the Duomo, there will be three alternating themes dedicated to the fundamental and essential aspects of achieving gender equality: economic equality, which according to the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2023 will be achieved in 169 years, political equality, which will be achieved in 162 years, and equal opportunities, which will not be achieved until 2155, in 131 years.
In addition, the Group's offices in Via Val Cannuta in Rome and Via Gaetano Negri in Milan will be lit up in orange until 10 December to show TIM's support for UN Women's 'Orange the World' initiative to combat violence against women and girls.
These new initiatives are part of the broader campaign #LaParitàNonPuòAspettare [Equality can’t wait], launched by the TIM Group to raise awareness on gender gap issues.
