RCS Libri and Olivetti: partnership to develop “Digital Classrooms”

RCS Libri and Olivetti are pooling their competencies respectively in educational publishing and IT solutions to develop leading-edge teaching instruments for schools.

RCS Libri, Italy’s educational publishing market leader, and Olivetti, the go-to company for information technology in Italy and worldwide, announce the start of a partnership to develop products, services and applications in order to foster digital classroom roll-out in public and private schools.

Under the agreement, RCS Libri will integrate all new educational publishing output - paper and digital books, downloadable books, online updates of textbooks and digital content for interactive multimedia whiteboards - with Olivetti’s hardware and software solutions for school environment digitalization. Olivetti will supply multimedia whiteboards and associated products including PCs, projectors and servers, in addition to software applications for managing interaction between schools and students’ homes. RCS will also have access to technical help, IT support and teacher training through Olivetti and its network of licensees.
