Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top global operators, is participating as a partner in the "En Route" exhibition, organized by the Vatican Apostolic Library to celebrate travel as a universal experience and an opportunity for encounters between different cultures, eras, and sensibilities.

Conceived by the Vatican Library in celebration of the 2025 Jubilee, "En Route" explores the theme of 19th-century travels through an extraordinary collection of approximately 1,200 newspapers gathered by diplomat Cesare Poma. Among them, the periodical En route! published during a round-the-world trip by two French journalists stands out along with the stories of Victorian-era women who defied cultural stereotypes to embark on global journeys.

The exhibition involves three contemporary creatives in an insightful and secular dialogue between tradition and modernity: musician Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini, who presents instruments, drawings, and a travel diary; illustrator Kristjana S Williams, who reinterprets Poma’s travels through symbolic works; and Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director of Dior, who explores the connection between fashion and travel through an installation dedicated to 19th-century female travellers.

"Reflecting on journeys around the world inevitably leads us to consider the crucial role of communication in recent history," said Enrico Bagnasco, CEO of Sparkle. "Digital routes have created an interconnected global network that enables instant communication and the exchange of information on a worldwide scale. Sparkle is proud to support this initiative which, in celebrating travel as a means of innovation, cultural exchange, and technological progress, also emphasizes the importance of communication: from the great travel diaries of the past to today’s global digital platforms."

The exhibition will be open to the public from February 15 to December 20, 2025, with details and schedule available on the website: https://enrouteproject.com/
