TIM has been awarded an Honoree at the Webby Awards 2024 in the Advertising category in the field of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category for its 'LaParitàNonPuòAspettare (Equality can't wait)' campaign, created by the Group to raise awareness and create awareness on the gender gap issue.
Described as the Internet's highest award by the New York Times, the Webby Awards are produced by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), the leading international awards organisation for excellence on the Internet in the categories of advertising, websites and mobile, film, online video, podcasts, games, AI and Metaverse.
With extensive planning on the web and social media, the 'LaParitàNonPuòAspettare' campaign featured images with strong messages on the topic to think about, based on data, such as 'Gender equality will only be achieved in 2155' (source Global Gender Gap Report 2023 of the World Economic Forum) or 'Women managers in Italian companies are only 20.5%'. The spot 'Il Labirinto' (The Labyrinth), directed by Oscar-winner Giuseppe Tornatore, also highlighted the prejudices or stereotypes and gender differences that women are forced to face every day: a labyrinth of difficulties from which it seems impossible to find a way out if not with the contribution of everyone.
The campaign is part of a wider TIM project aimed at accelerating the closing of the gender gap through both awareness-raising activities and concrete projects for TIM people and the community. Find out more about LaParitàNonPuòAspettare.
