In April 2024, she was appointed Chairwoman of the TIM Board of Directors and of the Sustainability Committee.
She boasts a long professional career that, since 1989, has seen her hold the roles of Associate at De Rienzo and Luzzatto, then Senior Associate at Clifford Chance, where in 1998 she became a Partner untill April 2021. In May of the same year, she became Partner at Legance, where she still works as a lawyer becoming Of Counsel considering her new role at TIM. Alberta Figari specialises in M&A and corporate finance transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, takeover and/or exchange offers, and equity capital market transactions. She also has a consolidated knowledge of corporate governance and board dynamics as she advises the corporate bodies of listed groups in their ordinary and extraordinary activities. She has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. for three consecutive mandates (April 2013 to April 2022) holding, from April 2013 to April 2022, the role of Chairwoman of the Control and Risk Committee and, for single three-year mandates, the role of Chairwoman of the Related Parties Committee, member of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee, as well as member of the Governance and Sustainability Committee.
She has acquired proven experience in managing business processes related to generational changes by assisting family groups in their dynamics related to these issues.
She has repeatedly been listed among the most prominent M&A and capital markets experts in Italy by Chambers Global and Europe: Capital Markets.
After graduating in Law from the University of Milan, she was admitted to the Milan Bar Association and obtained a Master's degree in Law from King's College London.
