Telecom Italia has appealed against the decision by the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) of Lazio, which in contrast with the decision by the European Court of Justice and its own previous jurisprudential decisions, has rejected the right to the reimbursement of the 1998 licence fees (expected for a total of 529 million euro, plus interest) levied on the Telecom Italia Group.
The Company believes that the motivations behind the Lazio regional court's decision are groundless and reiterates its right to the reimbursement of the disputed licence fees.
As a result, the company has given mandate to its lawyers to appeal the decision to the country's highest administrative court (Consiglio di Stato).
