PCs no longer used at the company can find a second life and make a difference for those in difficulty. This is why we regenerate the computers we no longer use, and give them to foundations and non-profit associations: a small gesture of circular economy that can positively affect society and generate less waste, protecting the environment.
And we do this with the help of ELIS, a non-profit organization that trains people for the labour market, with particular attention to those who are socially and economically disadvantaged.
In 2024, 500 unused PCs were regenerated and donated to African schools, in Tanzania, Burundi, Benin, Cameroon, Kenya.
One of them is the San Giovanni Paolo II school in Kitanewa, Tanzania, where, thanks to ELIS volunteers, students are acquiring the basic computer skills to navigate the Internet, communicate through digital tools (e -mail and social networks) and create videos, on our regenerated PCs.
Other 30 laptops were donated to the Cyber Security Italy Foundation, an Italian non-profit foundation whose purpose is to spread the culture of IT security, and will be used to provide children with disabilities with the educational support necessary to increase their awareness on the risks connected to Internet use.
