ePure

The new Telecom Italia cordless phone ePure has been designed and manufactured applying eco-design criteria aimed at reducing its environmental impacts, taking into account both its energy consumption and the final disposal at the end of its useful life.

The main features that contribute to reducing ePure’s environmental footprint are the following:

in the use phase, the phone consumes about 50% less energy than a previous model produced by the same manufacturer, with the same functionalities as ePure, and this in turn corresponds to avoiding the same percentage of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 equivalent);
the radio emissions are automatically tuned with respect to the distance between base station and handset, and the battery life is optimized;
the package is made of cardboard only (no plastics used) and the material adopted is 85% recycled.
