Modem ADSL Wi-Fi N Technicolor

A new wireless ADSL Modem, aimed at both business and private customers, is now available. Eco design principles have been applied to both product design and manufacturing. Here are the features that make this ADSL modem a product with reduced environmental impact:

• for an average use, the power consumption is over 46% less than a functionally equivalent previous generation product; the power consumption has been minimized according to the objectives set by the EU Code of Conduct for Broadband Equipment signed by Telecom Italia;
• it is equipped with a high efficiency (higher than 77.9%)  power supply;
• the plastic material used for the shell is homogeneous, recyclable and halogen free;
• the weight of the shell has been reduced by more than 70% compared with a  functionally equivalent previous generation product; furthermore the shell is made of only three parts and the number of screws has been reduced to one third, which in turn reduces disassembly time at end of its useful life by more than 70%;
• the packaging is made of  100% recycled non-plasticized cardboard.
